Piano Playing Prevention!!

Children Should Not Play the Piano!!!
(60 second speech)

I believe that parents should not have their children play the piano because playing the piano can cause a major increase in stress, make your child unsociable and lead to major or minor injuries.

Piano playing can increase triggers of stress. From fear of making mistakes in a performance, fear of critics giving negative reviews that can impact a career, and expecting all pianists to have the same capabilities. Along with the pressure of maintaining grades in school, playing piano is just nerve-racking.

Also, your child may become unsociable. They will be used to playing the piano instead of playing with friends. If you force or allow your child to practice and practice non-stop, they will turn into zombies.

There are many types of injuries that one can obtain through piano playing. They can vary from minor to major. Your child can have a simple hand or wrist pain or numbness in the fingers and arms. Or have more severe challenges like poor blood circulation or sore shoulders and neck. Do you want your child to suffer and be in constant pain?

Sure, playing piano can help your child’s memory, and may help them in math, but is it really worth it? Do you really want to risk the mental and physical safety of your child?

Emotional Ad of Unspoken Love

I chose to use the commercial ad entitled "Silence of Love". Please watch the video first and then post what you think about it.

I believe that this ad stirs the emotions of compassion, empathy, regret, fear, guilt, and protectiveness.

The ad is spoken in Thai but has English subtitles. This brings out the emotion of compassion because it opens your mind to the forgotten fact that there is another part of the world, and not just the west side that we live on that speaks English. It allows you to think about how people have problems all over the world, and how your's can be quite minor in comparison.
Many of the pictures that the ad had were sad and depressing. This can bring out the emotion of empathy because studies shown from http://curiosity.discovery.com states that over 121 million people worldwide suffer from some form of depression. Many people would know the message that the actors were trying to portray and feel just like the people in the commercial.
The end of the ad was by far the saddest and it portrayed the feeling of regret because the person who loved and cared for the girl with all of their heart sacrificed their life to save her. This definitely brought out regret because during their time together, they had arguments and never saw each other eye to eye or met each other half way, and now any chance they had of spending time together is now gone forever.
This ad brought an emotion of fear because you do not want your family going through something like this. Between one of your family members being a deaf-mute and the other attempting suicide, which one is scarier? Both the father and daughter went through a lot of stress without anyone there to help them. Wouldn't you want someone to lean on?
The ad also brought out an emotion of guilt because it makes you reflect on how much time you have spent with your family. If you seldom visit your family you now feel guilty of the fact that life can end so easily, and are now inclined to spend time with them.
Finally, this commercial expressed the emotion of protectiveness because it was a health insurance ad that had the message of protecting your family before something happens. It sends a direct message to people who don't have life insurance to get some immediately.

M&M's are Marvelous & 'Mazing!!!

This is not a real argument of M&M's v.s Starburst:

M&M's are the best candy because they relieve stress, have less artificial flavors than other candies, and are healthier for you because they contain calcium.

After a long day of work or school you sometimes come home, still burdened with more tasks. This can leave many people stressed out and fed up with the responsibilities that they have. Chocolate is one of the best cures for stress, and M&M's chocolate is the best one to use.
Most of the time, we eat food that is unhealthy. Not just unhealthy but loaded with chemicals, by products, and artificial flavors  When you're craving a snack but want to be healthier, try M&M's chocolate. It contains less artificial flavors than other candies.
We all know kids. Kids love sugar, but hate their vegetables. It would be nice if we could let them have their sweets and also give them the nutrients that they need. M&M's chocolate is high in calcium which supports strong bones for kids.
Starburst claims that they are better because they have more flavors  However! Do we know what's inside these flavors  How are they created? They don't tell you! If they 'believe' that their candy is the best, why don't they reveal what inside?
